Our exhaust systems are manufactured out of 409 Stainless Steel – 409 is a titanium stabilised ferritic alloy that contains chromium. While it doesn’t polish well, 409 offers a number of benefits over 304 stainless steel.
- More workable than 304, 409 bends/welds very easily with the right equipment. Important if you ever damage the system & must repair it.
- Better suited to high temperature applications, handles heat cycling well (rivers crossings, beach driving, wet/cold weather)
- Better resistance to vibration - less likely to crack than 304
- Offers high strength with good corrosion resistance.
409 may oxidise over time – this brown look is caused by chemical reaction & actually helps corrosion resistance. OEM car & aftermarket exhaust manufacturers are the main users of 409 due to it being the ideal for vehicle exhausts.

np300 stainless exhaust
awesome value for a stainless system,love the side exit option looks great. Fitment was excellent bolts/gaskets/clamp all off high quality fitted system up on my back under car in around 30mins.sounds great and will last.thanks guys

Navara NP 300 great value
Arrived in just 7 days which is good from Queensland to Regional WA, fitted and removed old system in just under and hour, everything provided and matched up perfectly, time will tell on any better fuel consumption or power but for me this system should last a lot longer than just under 4 yrs for the original system thou do a lot of beach boat launching. the original system back from the DPF appeared to be only mild steel and rusted out pretty quickly, thou the DPF appears to be S/S steel so matching up with a S/Steel system should have been done by Nissan as on my older D40 had been. Any way a lot smaller straight through muffler (Thankfully just as quiet) to old for loud droning exhaust systems) and bigger pipe should lead to some efficiencies, all well made and like the polished Muffler section.
